REVENUE & REAL PROPERTY TAX 

 

The county budget receives most of its revenue from property taxes, which goes into the General Fund.  There are special funds, such as water, sewer, and solid waste, which generates its own revenue from user fees.  The Revenue Spreadsheet contains the details of each fund, as proposed by the mayor, and the necessary adjustments the committee made to account for the shortfall in revenue we anticipate due to less usage. The Real Property Tax Spreadsheet indicates the proposed tax rates and revenues projected for each tax class category.
